We want bizwavely.com to work for every visitor, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or a magnifier. This statement explains what Thompson Valley Digital Learning has done, which gaps remain and how to report a barrier.
Our commitment
Accessibility is treated as part of building and maintaining this website, not as a separate project. Whenever a page is added or the design is changed, we check that the content can still be read with a screen reader, operated with a keyboard and enlarged in the browser. This statement covers the pages published under bizwavely.com.
Known limitations
Some pictures are general illustrations and carry a short alternative text rather than a detailed description.
Information in another form
If a page on bizwavely.com does not work for you, the same information is available without the website. Reach us by telephone on (250) 261-8333, by email at [email protected] or by post at 412 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2A7, and on request we will send the content of a page in another form.
Standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site is currently partially conformant: most content meets the guidelines, while the points listed below do not yet. Where a requirement cannot be met right away, we provide the information in another way.
Reporting a barrier
Please report any accessibility problem by email to [email protected] or by telephone on (250) 261-8333. A short note on the page, the difficulty and the device or assistive technology involved helps us reproduce the fault; we usually reply within five working days and explain what we will do about it.
What we do
The website uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure, one main heading per page and link texts that make sense on their own. Navigation and main content are marked as separate regions, each page states its language for screen readers, and images that carry information have text alternatives.
Text and background colours are combined to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for body copy, links and buttons. Because sizes are given in relative units, zooming or increasing the browser font size does not disturb the layout. The website can be operated with a keyboard alone.
Preparation of this statement
The present statement was prepared on October 20, 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
